As I wrote in my last post, I was able to visit the frequency of enlightenment a second time. With it came wisdom, growth, and understanding. It also brought more laughter.
The second time, rather than moving through bliss and consciousness first, I went directly into enlightenment. And again, my first reaction was laughter at the absurdity of the human condition. This was the energy that I wanted to understand better.
The Cosmic Joke.
One afternoon, while staring out the window and meditating, I found myself looking at the nearby intersection and the traffic zooming back and forth. It all seemed so busy and frantic.
With my inner vision, I saw people going from work to home at the end of the day. Picking up children from daycare. Making plans for dinner and chores or just hoping to relax at the end of a long day. What I saw was so much human busy-ness. Like ants moving around their mound.
We humans put so much effort into our lives. We work hard and we play hard. We cheer on sports teams and root for our favorite character in films. We raise children and create safe and comfortable homes.
We laugh. We cry. We share our abundance. We share our rage and anger. We want more than we have and work every day to get it.
We fear we will never be loved like we want to be. We live with our abusers because we can’t seem to find our way out. We feel alone in a crowd. And we feel disconnected from those who say they love us. And we feel unloved and separated from the Divine.
We forget we are loved. We forget that we are never alone. We forget that spirit is all around us and within us always. We forget that the Universe, God, Gods, Source, Spirit, angels, archangels, our ancestors, family in Spirit are all with us, always.
And that’s the cosmic joke. That’s why we laugh. Because, from the frequency of enlightenment, we are never alone, and we are always loved. We are never separated from Spirit. Never. We carry Spirit with us always, it is our soul.
Wisdom from the Realm of Enlightenment.
From the frequency of enlightenment, we are whole and complete. The worries and fears are illusions that are created in our ego and of free will. They are thoughts, sparks of energy. Illusions that we choose to believe.
From the perspective of enlightenment, so much of our lives are built on those worries and fears. We work hard to provide for our families and to live the lives we want to live. We twist ourselves into knots for our belief systems. We work hard to create a life worth living.
Enlightenment taught me that we have control over how we perceive our current reality. We can choose to suffer through it, or we can choose to grow from it. That said, we do not control what happens to us.
Things happen in life that we can’t control. There are many people who live by their ego. I know, I was one of them. Sometimes that ego can become oversized and when added to personal trauma and free will, humans are capable of anything we can imagine and worse.
From the frequency of enlightenment, I laughed at it all because at that moment, the human condition seemed like so much hard work, so much force, and suffering.
We are all trying to live but doing it in a way that seems so hard. Doing it in a way that is so challenging that some of us want to stop and give it all up.
So, if the cosmic joke is that we are never separate from Spirit, that we don’t have to struggle so much, what is the point? What is the wisdom of the joke?
The wisdom is to connect with our soul, our spirit within. By doing so we have everything we need to co-create the life that we are all busting our asses to create on our own. And by “everything we need” I mean we have access to infinite love, wisdom, and abundance to co-create the life we need, want, and desire.
The lesson is to connect within, with our soul, our Divine light. To create a life with awareness that we are not separate from love, wisdom, or abundance. To connect with the Divine and live the life our soul was meant to live.
In short, the lesson is to let it go and let it flow.
Letting Go.
In the days following my experience with enlightenment, I was reminded of something I learned long ago about letting go.
Many years ago, while on Instagram, I found a video by a Buddhist monk living in San Diego. (It was long ago, and unfortunately, I don’t remember his name, nor am I active on Instagram.) He told a story about letting go, and the wisdom has stayed with me ever since.
He held up a tightly clenched fist which represented that thing that we are holding onto. It could have represented anything in our lives, families, jobs, trauma, ego, illusion, anything.
Then he explained that letting go doesn’t mean we drop the thing, and it is gone and forgotten. He opened his hand flat and then dropped it out of sight. Sometimes we can’t just forget. That’s not how it works.
He continued to explain that letting go means that we loosen our grip. The monk’s hand re-appeared relaxed and opened partially, softly. His palm was up and receptive.
Letting go isn’t about forgetting. It is about loosening our grip. Softening our attachment to the things that are holding us back, things we are ready to let go of. It is about releasing what no longer serves to open to the infinite possibilities for our lives.
Enlightenment.
Before these experiences with the energy of enlightenment, I probably wouldn’t have known what it meant. I certainly didn’t have a ready opinion of it.
After these experiences in the realm of enlightenment my understanding is beginning to form. And at the same time, I am keeping my mind open to infinite possibilities.
What I know for sure is that we carry the Divine Spirit within us always. I am passionate about living with, by, for our souls. And if you are too, come back for Monday’s post.
I’m grateful you’re here. I love you.
Be well, beautiful soul,
Nikki
